What is a Kamayan?
A Kamayan, otherwise known as a Boodle Fight is a communal style of eating in the Philippines. Banana leaves line long tables and are decorated with an array of Filipino dishes and are eaten with your hands! The base word for Kamayan is “kamay” which means “hands”! This is a very social way of eating and brings families and friends together for special occasions or.. for just a standard dinner with your large family!
