Banana Block is delighted to be a host venue for Sonorities Festival Belfast 2022.
For forty years Sonorities has led the way for musicians, composers and sound artists from around the world to make and present work for curious listeners.
Sonorities is a biennial festival of sound and music, making a joyful commotion in Belfast since 1981.
RESIST continues its tradition of bringing exciting nights of electronic music from the leftfield to Belfast with this new event in the Banana Block. From the super-fun-neon-songs of Alice and the industrial-infused experimental pop of Lia Mice’s Choas Bells. To the free improvising dance distorting duo of -ence and the heavy genre-bending resynthesis of Son Zept.
Further experimentalism coming from the eternal accelerando from pop to happy hardcore heaven by Ryo Ikeshiro and the immersive explorations of material, colour and the strangeness of the everyday from Lou Barnell.
