We see out the last of this run of TS parties with someone who was massive help in advising Sound Advice how to set up a record shop, Chris Farrell from Bristol’s revered Idle Hands emporium.

Under Heavy Manners was formed in Bristol in 2014 by Chris Farrell and Andy Payback, two long term friends who were keen to hear the intersection of two unwieldy and wide-ranging record collections that geographically covered New York, Detroit, Chicago, Kingston, Berlin, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol and all points in between. This outlet was found in long, winding evenings in low-lit, low-ceilinged Bristol pubs like The Bell and current home Mickey Zoggs. Purposefully holding the event on a Sunday to negate any pressure or requirement to follow direct, linear selections, Chris and Andy also firmly swerve directionless eclecticism. Instead, they maintain an instinctive exploration of the hidden threads binding all types of music together, one selection at a time.

TOP SHELF is a series of intimate late night parties at record store Sound Advice Belfast running April to October.
Each event has a limited capacity of 50 people.
Banana Block bar will be open throughout.
