Fighting Words Northern Ireland is installing ‘The Pencil Portal’ in Banana Block for the month of March launching on Saturday 5th March at 230pm- 530pm to coincide with The Belfast Children’s Festival.
The Pencil Portal and exhibition launches during the Belfast Children’s Festival but it will continue to be open for you to drop in, read and write anytime during March 2022, after which it may magically pop up at another location in Belfast.
You can spend some time in the pop-up writers studio, a magical space full of inspiration and wonder, with a comfy armchair and books, an old wooden desk with pencils and paper. All that’s missing is you, the writer. Come along and spend a little time in the shoes of a writer and discover where your imagination, and your pencil can transport you.

The storymaking session starts at 2.30pm so please arrive ahead. The space will be open until 5.30pm. Refreshments provided.
